Lempster Fire-Rescue approves First Net tablet trial and EV plug

NH LEMPSTER — Lempster Fire-Rescue approves First Net tablet trial and equipment purchases. Chief J. Thomas led the nine-member department in voting unanimously to trial a 30-day First Net tablet lease at approximately $55 per month to replace aging communication equipment.
The department also unanimously approved purchase of a $1,050 electric vehicle charging plug, with leadership indicating a companion $1,500 EV blanket will require fundraising. The department approved purchase of two new medical bags for Engine 1, with one to be donated and the second funded from rescue budget. Upcoming training events include a technical rope rescue drill at Washington Fire on June 28 at 6 p.m.
